USCIS Launches Online H-1B Organization Accounts for H-1B Lottery Registrations and Filing H-1B Petitions

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is launching organizational accounts for H-1B  non-cap (non-H-1B lottery) filings for the fiscal year (FY) 2025 H-1B cap season. These H-1B organizational accounts will allow multiple individuals within an organization, such as a company or other business entity, and their attorneys or other legal representatives to work together on preparing H-1B registrations, Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, and the associated Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing Service.

USCIS plans to launch the organizational accounts in February 2024, with online filing of Forms I-129 and I-907 following shortly thereafter.   USCIS will also transition the paper filing location for Forms I-129 and I-907 from service centers to the USCIS lockbox as part of our efforts to increase efficiency by standardizing processes and reducing costs.

USCIS will host two many webinars and tech talks on H-1B organization accounts in February 2024 and already held two webinars in January.  During these sessions individuals will have the opportunity to ask questions about the organizational accounts in preparation for the FY 2025 H-1B electronic registration process and launch of online filing of Form I-129 for H-1B petitions.

Employers sponsoring foreign nationals pursuant to the H-1B lottery have had to create an online account and register for the H-1B lottery through these online accounts in the past few years.  If they already have such an account, it will be upgraded to allow them to file H-1B petitions online for all types of H-1B cases, not only cases selected for the H-1B lottery but H-1B extension petitions, H-1B amendment petitions and H-1B change of employer petitions.

I highly recommend that all H-1B employers sign up for e-mail alerts from the website of USCIS’ National Engagement Page for upcoming webinars and tech talks sponsored by USCIS for the new online H-1B organization accounts.  The link is
