US Department of State Issues December 2019 Visa Bulletin

The Department of State (DOS) posted the Visa Bulletin for December 2019, which provides the visa number availability for family-sponsored and employment-sponsored preference categories, as well as for the diversity visa lottery cut-offs.

As of November 18, 2019, USCIS has not advised whether in December 2019 it will accept adjustment of status applications for family or employment-based petitions based on filing dates or final action dates. USCIS anticipates that this information will be released within one week of the monthly Visa Bulletin. For November 2019 it accepted adjustment applications based on the filing dates, with the exception of applicants in the F2A category who may file using the Final Action Dates chart for November 2019.

For the employment-based filing dates chart, the EB1 worldwide category is current and is at September 1, 2017, for China and at March 15, 2017, for India. The EB2 worldwide category is now current, for India is at July 1, 2009, and for China is at August 1, 2016. The EB3 worldwide category is current and the EB3 category for China is at March 1, 2017, and at February 1, 2010, for India.
